PNHP national board secretary Dr. Ed Weisbart discusses his recent piece in Common Dreams, “To Win ‘Medicare for All,’ First Reclaim Medicare From Profiteers.”
Dr. Weisbart cites the corporate insurance industry’s indefensible overcharging of taxpayers—to the tune of up to $140 billion per year.
“If we could get that money back from them,” he says, “then we could use that money to help us pay for hearing, and vision, and dentistry for everybody in Medicare” along with other important health care priorities.
