Dr. Ed Weisbart, president of the St. Louis chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program, is interviewed by veteran journalist Charles Jaco on “The Jaco Report” in this 8-minute segment on KTVI, Fox2Now.com, a Fox-affiliated television station in St. Louis. The interview was broadcast on Nov. 24, 2013.
Dr. Weisbart knows the inside of the for-profit health care industry, having previously been chief medical officer for Express Scripts, Inc. He says Obamacare falls short of the fundamental reform our nation needs and that the old health insurance system wasn’t working. He says the solution is simple: Medicare for everybody, or some sort of single-payer national health care system.
Charles Jaco is a reporter for Fox 2, as well as a writer and anchor of his own weekly news program. He’s the winner of three George Foster Peabody Awards for broadcast journalism excellence, as well as two Edward R. Murrow Awards and five National Headliner Awards. He previously worked for CNN and NBC Network Radio.
