Podcast host Joe Sparks warns listeners about the recently launched ACO REACH program, which allows for-profit middlemen (including commercial health insurance companies) to “manage” the care of Traditional Medicare beneficiaries.
“It makes no sense to move [ seniors and people with disabilities ] to private health insurance,” he says, “when such a system has produced the worst overall health outcomes of any wealthy nation, and the most expensive health care system in the world.”
