PNHP co-founder Dr. Steffie Woolhandler appeared on “Democracy Now!” on Jan. 9, 2017, to discuss the prospective repeal of the Affordable Care Act. She predicted that the structure of the law – originally a Republican proposal – would stay in place, albeit in a “meaner” version. She also noted that the health care crisis could not be truly addressed until single-payer legislation was signed into law.
