Medicare for All would ease some of the barriers facing both LGBTQIA patients and patients with disabilities, says activist Rosie Bean, who details their own six-year ordeal applying for Social Security Disability Insurance and the significant impact it made on their life once benefits were approved. Under a single-payer program, they say, accessing medical care would be āa simple process instead of a very complicated process.ā
