Dr. Nahiris M. Baham贸n is a community pediatrician at Lowell Community Health Center in Lowell, MA. She is an experienced advocate for increased access to high quality health care, especially for immigrant and other marginalized communities. Dr. Baham贸n has also worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics to increase awareness about the needs of immigrant families, and to increase access to culturally sensitive, high quality care. Originally from Colombia, she moved to the U.S. as a refugee with her family.
Dr. Baham贸n has been active in the movement for Medicare for All since medical school. She was a co-founder of Residents for a National Health Program and served on the PNHP Board of Directors. Dr. Baham贸n earned her medical degree from Boston University and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Chicago. She is available to speak in English and Spanish.
