As you well know, our U.S. health care system is in a state of chaos. More than 50 million Americans are uninsured, and an additional tens of millions lack adequate coverage. The premiums to individuals and businesses continue to rise at double-digit rates. Half of all personal bankruptcies are caused by medical bills and illness. As a result, Americans live sicker, die younger and are more vulnerable to financial ruin.
